Tours

There are a TON of things to do in Puerto Vallarta.

Some of the tours I recommend are listed below, but there are lots more. Check TripAdvisor.com for a complete list.

Many of the tours include two attractions; for example, an ATV tour and visit to a local tequila distiller.

ATV Tours – Ride ATVs through the tropical forests outside of town. BRING GOGGLES OR
SUNGLASSES AND A SPARE MASK!

Boat rides – Two popular trips are to Yelapa, a small fishing village south of town and the Marietas islands where you can swim to the hidden beach shown above. You can also take one of the speed boat trips, go deep sea fishing or whale watching.

Stroll the Malecon -The malecon (boardwalk) stretches from the north end of downtown south to the Romantic Zone; a great place to people-watch that’s lined with great restaurants and shops.

Start at the intersection of Basilio Badillo and Olas Altas in the romantic zone and walk north. A new bridge takes you over the Cuale River to the boardwalk in front of downtown.

Snorkeling – Los Arcos (the arches) are a popular destination.

Swim with the Dolphins -A fantastic adventure that includes an informational lecture.

Zip-Line/Canopy Tours – Climb hillsides south of town and zip through the tropical canopy.
